Cloning Scripts

You can copy an existing script along with its assets and tags and other properties except the status. Even if you clone an approved script, you must get it reviewed and approved before you execute it. You cannot clone deprecated and rejected scripts.

To clone an existing script:

1. In the Scripts tab, select the script you want to clone, and then click Quick Actions > Clone.

The Clone option is disabled if the script is deprecated or rejected.

2. In the Clone Script pop-up window, enter a script name and then click Clone.

Confirmation

The newly cloned script is listed under the Scripts tab and the status is displayed as Pending Test. The status changes when the script is tested or reviewed or executed.

Tip: To edit an already executed script, clone the script and edit the script field, so that you won't have to create the same script from scratch.
