Go to Assets > Setup to see global setup options related to assets.
Some options may not be available, depending on your service level and subscription settings.
Initially, host attribute names are Location, Function and Asset Tag. Customize host attribute names to match terminology used in your organization. The attributes appear when viewing host information.
This option allows Manager primary contact to accept the Unique Asset Identifiers (Agentless Tracking identifier and/or Agent Correlation Identifier) and also choose how to merge results from scanned IP interfaces and cloud agents for your assets – all from the same setup window. Learn more
This option allows you to enable or disable the activation of assessment on assets for middleware technologies as soon as they are discovered by the agent. If the Enable Middleware Assessment by default option is selected then all assets are activated for assessment by default. Learn more
When the Scan by Hostname feature is enabled, we'll perform policy evaluation and compliance reporting on assets when the IP address or the DNS hostname of the asset is included in an asset group associated with the policy.
Select the option "Do not resolve DNS assets to hostnames in policy asset groups" to only perform policy evaluation on the IP addresses in your asset groups and not on the DNS hostnames.
