You can download one, multiple or all schedules from your schedules list to iCalendar format (ICS) and then import them into your favorite calendar application. These calendars support the iCalendar format: Microsoft Office Outlook, Lotus Notes, Google Calendar, and Apple iCal. Once you've imported schedules into your calendar application, you can share the scan schedules with other users and set task reminders. For example, set a reminder so that you're notified 15 minutes before a scheduled scan is going to start.
Good to know - If you make changes to a schedule after importing it to a calendar, the changes are not reflected in your calendar application. You will need to download and import the calendar again to see the updates in the calendar.
Go to Scans > Schedules. Select the check box next to one or more schedules you want to download and then select Download as iCalendar from the Actions menu. A message appears asking you to confirm the action. Click Download. Open or save the iCalendar data file to your local file system. The file is saved in the following format:
multi_tasks_<date>_<time>.ics
where <date> is the date of the download in yyyymmdd format, and <time> is the time of the download in hhmmss format.
Go to Scans > Schedules. Then go to New > Download. Select the iCalendar (ICS) format option and click Download. Open or save the iCalendar data file to your local file system. The file is saved in the following format:
DL_schedules_<login>_<date>.ics
where <login> is the user's login ID, and <date> is the date of the download in yyyymmdd format
Note that you can download the schedules data list in other file formats, including CSV, ZIP, MHT and XML.
Schedules configured with "Relaunch on Finish" support continuous scanning. Once selected the service will start continuous scanning by launching a new scan as soon as the previous one finishes. Schedules configured with "Relaunch on Finish" are not downloaded to iCalendar format.
For Microsoft Outlook 2003, you must use the "Import and Export Wizard" in Outlook to successfully import multiple schedules from a single ICS file. If you don't use the wizard and instead double-click the file or open it directly into Outlook, then only the first task in your list is imported.
