This report identifies hosts that are missing required patches and software. The QIDs being reported on were selected at run time - up to 10 QIDs for patches and 2 QIDs for software.
Missing Patch Example - Your organization requires that Windows systems have the patch update released in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS04-011. In this case, specify QID 90108 "Multiple Microsoft Windows Vulnerabilities (MS04-011)" in your report. When the QID is detected on a host, then the host does not have the update installed and the host will be listed in the Results section of the report.
Missing Software Example - Your organization requires that hosts have Symantec Norton Anti-Virus software installed. To find hosts that are missing this software, include QID 105003 "Symantec Norton Anti-Virus Corporate Edition Detected" in your report. When the QID is not detected on a host, then the host is missing the software and the host will be listed in the Results section of the report.
For each asset group/asset tag you'll see:
Missing Patch Statistics - The percentage and total number of scanned hosts missing at least one of the user-specified patches.
Software 1 Statistics - The percentage and total number of scanned hosts missing the first user-specified software QID.
Software 2 Statistics - The percentage and total number of scanned hosts missing the second user-specified software QID.
You'll see specific information on which patch/software QID is missing on each host. For each targeted asset group or tag, you'll see the hosts in the group that are missing at least one of the required patches or software. If a host is missing more than one patch or software, then each instance appears on a separate line.
