By scheduling reports you'll get fresh reports daily, weekly, or monthly - or one time only as needed with the latest security status and security analysis.
Go to Reports > Schedules, click New Schedule and tell us:
1) which web application to report on (target of your report),
2) when to generate the report, and
3) select Activate Notification (optional) to send an email alerts to users. Just tell use the users you want to notify.
Want to immediately generate the scheduled report? Simply, click Launch now from the Quick Actions menu.
We'll send an email each time report generation is complete to the users you select. You can tell us which email address should be used in the notification. The From Address dropdown populates two options: email address of the scheduled report owner and email address configured in your subscription (for example email@example.com). Choose one email address from the dropdown. Show me
These users will also receive emails if a scheduled report did not run for any reason. What about the schedule owner? By default the report schedule owner does not receive an alert each time report generation is complete. This owner does receive an alert each time a report did not run for some reason.
You can schedule a one time occurrence or have the report run daily (or every 2 days, 3 days, etc), weekly (or every 2 weeks, 3 weeks, etc), monthly (or every 2 months, 3 months, etc).
Your report schedule will run indefinitely unless you set the "Ends after N occurrences" option. Here N is the number of times you want the schedule to run in the field provided. When the set number of occurrences is reached, the schedule will become inactive.
Yes. Go to the Notification section and select the check box "Activate Notification" and add the notification recipients from the Distribution Groups dropdown.
Permissions to create report schedules using templates
- Manager users can create and edit report schedules.
- Other users need to be granted permissions to create, edit, and delete report schedules by a Manager.
Granting user access to a report template
Applying tags to a report schedule lets a Manager make it available to other users. Specifically a Manager needs to: 1) go to the Administration utility, and 2) add at least one of the tags to each user's scope.
Can't create or edit report schedules?
You need to be assigned the WAS configuration permissions as appropriate (Create, Edit, Delete). Just ask a Manager to go to the Administration utility and edit your account settings.
Can I use tags to include web applications in the report schedule? How?
You can target the scheduled report to certain web applications by selecting tags. If you do this, the report will include only web applications that match at least one of the tags you select.
Select "All" to include web applications that match all of the tags listed. Select "Any" to include web applications that match at least one of the tags listed. Add tags to the "Exclude" section to skip web applications from the scan. Show me
Can I include latest scan results in scheduled reports? How?
Configure the scheduled report to fetch latest scan data for the web application. When you configure the target for the scheduled report, choose the web application and we will include the latest scan conducted on the web application in the scheduled scan report.
