SSL Certificate profile settings

This wizard lets you declare SSL materials used by your web applications on client-side.

Want to add a new SSL certificate profile? Go to Web Applications > SSL Certificates and click the New SSL profile button.

Name of the SSL profile

Enter the name and description for the SSL certificate profile. Initially the user who creates the SSL profile is the owner. When editing an SSL profile, you can choose another owner.

Tags

Select tags to apply to the SSL certificate profile. Users with the applied tags in their scope will have access to it. Click Create to add a new tag.

Certificate and Private Key

Choose a certificate format from the drop-down and the provide the required information.

PFX: Provide the passphrase used while encrypting the PFX / PKCS12 file. Then click Choose File to select your PFX / PKCS12 file from your local file system or simply drag and drop it into the area indicated.

PEM: Click Choose File to select your PEM certificate file from your local file system or simply drag and drop it into the area indicated. If your private key requires a passphrase, select the check box, then enter your passphrase in the field provided. Click Choose File (below the passphrase) to select the PEM certificate private key file from your local file system or simply drag and drop it into the area indicated.

Copy/Paste PEM content: Simply copy-paste the contents of the PEM certificate file into the area indicated. If your private key requires a passphrase, select the check box, then enter your passphrase in the field provided. Then copy-paste the contents of the PEM certificate private key into the area indicated.

WAF SSL Passphrase

Enter a WAF SSL passphrase, or click the "Generate WAF SSL passphrase" link and we'll generate a randomized 64 byte passphrase for you. This passphrase is not stored by Qualys. Be sure to keep this passphrase safe otherwise you will need to reconfigure the SSL support for this web application. You'll need it again to configure the WAF cluster used to protect your site.

CA Certificate (Chained / Intermediate certificate Information)

Click Choose File to select file containing all chained / intermediate certificates or simply drag and drop the file into the area indicated. The file must be in PEM format. Otherwise simply copy-paste the contents of the certificate directly in provided text box.
